Ojeda Wildcard Livery Revealed
Walkinshaw Andretti United has revealed the Jayden Ojeda wildcard Commodore for the Repco Supercars Winton SuperSprint this weekend.
The Pizza Hut Winton SuperSprint will be Jayden’s solo Supercars Championship debut, where he will drive the #27 WAU Supercar.
This weekend is Jayden’s first start in a single driver Supercars event, following appearances in the Bathurst 1000 with Garry Rogers Motorsport and Matt Stone Racing over the last two years.
Jayden’s car will sport backing from East Coast Lubes and Mobil 1 at both the Pizza Hut Winton SuperSprint this weekend and next month’s Merlin Darwin Triple Crown. The car carries the same base livery as that featured on Chaz Mostert’s #25 and Nick Percat’s #2 entries.
“It’s awesome to unveil my Wildcard livery for the weekend! I’m absolutely stoked with it. It’s great to be representing some iconic brands.” said Ojeda.
The #27 Holden ZB Commodore will also carry support from Morris, New Age Caravans, Walkinshaw Performance, City Hino, Johnny H Adventures, Metropole, Vantage Freight, Criticool Services, AJM Transport, and UMS.
“A massive thank you to all of the WAU partners who got on board and behind the program as well as all of my personal partners as well!”.
“The car looks so awesome, thank you so much first of all to ECL and Mobil 1 for their support, all the WAU partners that have welcomed me, but also to all the partners that have backed me and got me to this point, I wouldn’t be here without them,” said Ojeda.
“It’s fantastic to have one of our long-term supporters and loyal Mobil 1 distributors, East Coast Lubes supporting our team further, so a huge thank you to Terry and his entire team, as well as Mobil 1″ said Walkinshaw Andretti United team principal Bruce Stewart.
“A thank you as well to our Walkinshaw Andretti United Partners, such as Morris who continue to invest in junior talent and community, as well as UMS, and of course Jayden’s loyal supporters who have made this possible. The really cool thing about this car is how it looks at home with Chaz and Nick’s car, which shows that we are truly a three-car team this weekend. We can’t wait to see Jayden on track tomorrow, it’s going to be exciting for all involved.” he added.
The Walkinshaw Andretti United # 27 is also a race car with a distinguished history, one of only a few Supercars to have over 150 race starts. Its first race came in 2013, when Jayden was just 13 years old!! Check out more in this fascinating V8 Sleuth story.
