Ojeda ready for Supercars Enduros

Jayden will join with the Truck Assist Racing and Jack Le Brocq this weekend as a co-driver for the Supercars Championship Sandown 500.

This year’s Supercars enduro campaign sees the return of a 500km race at Sandown as a precursor to the Bathurst 1000.

Jayden will make his fourth start in the Repco Bathurst 1000 in October in what is his third consecutive endurance campaign with Matt Stone Racing, this time alongside Jack Le Brocq. Le Brocq is off to a flying start in his 2023 campaign, with a number of top 10 finishes to his name already.

“It’ll be awesome to team up with Jack Le Broq and Matt Stone Racing this weekend for the Sandown 500”.

Ojeda has been in race-winning form in his GT World Challenge Australia campaign this season, off the back of a sensational outright win in the Bathurst 6 Hour production car race at Mount Panorama in April.

MSR successfully completed pre-enduro testing with both cars last week before the Sandown 500.

“We had a great test day last week where I got plenty of laps in the car and was able to get comfortable for this weekend. We were able to compete our program and have plenty of confidence heading into this weekend”.

“I feel like I’ve adapted reasonably well so far to the new Gen3 car and I’m hopeful that this weekend will reflect that as well.  It’s been a few years since I last tackled Sandown in a Supercar so I’m excited to see how this new Gen3 car takes to the Sandown and its unique characteristics”. Said Ojeda.

“Awesome to be partnering up with Jack Le Brocq, both him and the team have hit the ground running this year with what looks to be fast cars. It will be great to work with Jack Bellotti again as our race engineer who was my race engineer for our Bathurst 6 Hour car”.

“I’m confident that throughout the year the team will continue this momentum and come enduro season JLB and I will make a strong combination.”

“I really would like to thank all my partners, including City Hino, AJM Transport, Johnny H Adventures, That Patio Guy, Nepean Regional Security and Atkinson Pontifex for all helping me” said Jayden.
