Jayden tackles the Mountain with Anglo Motorsport

Jayden Ojeda has joined forces with Anglo Motorsport for an assault on the Formula Ford support races at the 2019 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-hour, Australia’s International endurance race.

To commence a year-long celebration of the class a grid of Formula Ford 1600 cars is set to combine with Historic Formula Ford competitors to mark a special event, 50 years of Formula Ford racing in Australia.

Jayden will spearhead a five car Anglo Motorsport attack at Bathurst. They will also bring some of the country’s best and developing young talent to challenge the Mountain.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to race Formula Fords on the 12-Hour weekend,” says team owner Tim Beale. “Having Jayden, the current Australian Formula 4 Champion join us for this meeting is a great lift for the team. Jayden is a proven open wheel champion and has spent a lot of time racing Formula Fords, I think he will be a sensation around Mt Panorama”.

Jayden who has never raced at Bathurst in his karting and open-wheeler career is looking forward to the experience, and the thrill.

“Who doesn’t love Bathurst” Ojeda admitted. “It’s one of the world’s great circuits and I am looking forward to learning to get around it, I think that first lap is going to be a massive thrill, bring it on. To be racing in an Anglo Motorsport prepared car is fantastic, I cannot wait to send it down the mountain.”

Ojeda will be carrying Sparesbox livery for the weekend, as a new member of the Sparesbox Army.

“I really appreciate the support of Sparesbox, the largest online auto parts store in Australia” Ojeda said. It’s great to have joined the #sparesboxarmy to share my passion with others” he added.

Sparesbox CEO Leon Saliba says “Sparesbox welcomes Jayden to the #sparesboxarmy, flying the flag for Sparesbox on Australia’s most iconic circuit. We’re excited to be supporting one of the rising stars in Australian motorsport in Jayden Ojeda. 2019 will be a big year for Sparesbox on the mountain. We are sponsoring the Dipper, have a major TV campaign kicking off across the weekend and a major online sales event. We felt working with Jayden and the Anglo Motorsport guys will compliment these activities nicely, plus as motorsport fans, it’s always good to be involved at a grassroots level.”

The Formula Fords have races scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday from January 31 to February 2 at Mt Panorama Bathurst.
