Jayden Makes Aussie Driver Search Finals

Jayden recently entered the Aussie Driver Search competition, where the winner received a full -season arrive-and-drive seat in the Toyota 86 one-make series in 2018.

Aussie Driver Search offers racers a chance to win fully-funded drives in various categories including the Toyota 86 series for the PRO class, a race start in the V8 Ute Racing Series season finale in Newcastle this month for the UTE Class, and a $20,000 racing budget for the winner of the AMATUER prize.

Jayden entered the PRO Class where a field of 350 drivers was whittled down to 15 finalists in each category, five from each of the qualifying arounds at Morgan Park, Sandown, and Sydney Motorsport Park.

The Finals were held at Sydney Motorsport Park, where Jayden drove well to reach the Grand Final of 8 drivers. Competition was tight with a great display of talent and close decisions in all competitions.

“I was so happy to make it through to the grand final but unfortunately I didn’t make it to the final 3. An opportunity like Aussie Driver Search comes along and you can’t say no,” said Jayden, “Overall it was a great experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I learnt a lot about the different cars we had to drive, including the Toyota 86 and Nissan Pulsar, which I hope will add to my experience”.
