Jayden Takes his first F4 Pole Position
It was a day of firsts for AGI Sport’s Jayden Ojeda, claiming the Castrol Pole Position at Phillip Island, for round two of the 2018 CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship. This was Jayden’s maiden Castrol Pole Position award.
Ojeda clinched pole by 0.3 seconds over last year’s pole winner and teammate Ryan Suhle.
“Yeah the car was amazing… I managed to put a perfect lap together nice and early,” Ojeda said. “The AGI boys gave me an amazing car and I can’t thank them enough, without them I wouldn’t have this opportunity. The car really felt good, and I can’t over exaggerate that enough.“
AGI Sport’s Jayden Ojeda was fastest in every session bar Friday’s second practice. His quickest lap on Friday was set in the morning’s first session, and his 1:34.0749 was not eclipsed in the afternoon’s sunnier session.
“I was pretty happy with the car most of the day,” Ojeda said. “AGI Sport put together an amazing car. I’m really happy with it. First time being in first in Australian Formula 4 – hopefully we can push on.”
