Jayden qualified third on a drying track after a wet and slippery day at Queensland Raceway. The weather conditions in Friday practice made it difficult for the drivers to learn the track, and also a challenge for the engineering team to come up with a setup for the dry, so everyone was constantly learning and adapting throughout the races.

Jayden managed to finished fourth after a closely contested Race 1. “Overall a good result in race 1 considering it was the first time on a dry track all weekend. We will give the car and myself a tune up and give it our all for race 2 later today” driver Jayden Ojeda said.

In an absolute scorcher Race 2, Jayden was caught out by some oil on the circuit and fell back to 10th place, however he recovered strongly to be fighting among the front-runners, ultimately finishing sixth.

Jayden was running fourth in the final race when he retired due to a gearbox problem, but had still done enough to maintain his second place in the series standings.

“Overall, it was a challenging weekend with some really close racing, so I’m looking forward now to the last two rounds. We go to circuits where I have a lot more experience – Sydney Motorsport Park and Phillip Island, so we’ll be aiming to bring home some stronger results.” Spectrum driver Jayden Ojeda said.
