Formula Ford Australia to develop Media and Social Media exposure

The Formula Ford Association is looking for a Social Media, Media, and Category Management Assistant to help promote and manage the 2017 Australian Formula Ford Series.

The role suit somebody who is social media savvy, has a background and tertiary education related to media or public relations, and is both proactive and creative.

The role is focussed on utilising, developing, and improving our social media content, and ensuring the benefits of Formula Ford – close, cost-effective motor racing – are being communicated to competitors, potential competitors, FF members, teams, sponsors, fans, and media as effectively as possible.

A passion for motor racing and some knowledge of the sport is encouraged.

The role would be ideal for somebody looking to start their journey in motorsport or sport media, or somebody looking to add to an existing client base.

The Social Media, Media, and Category Management Assistant role will include:

  • Creating/posting midweek social media content
  • Creating/posting social media content leading up to a round of the Australian Formula Ford Series
  • Creating/posting social media content during a race weekend (including concise post-race reports)
  • Live Facebook interviews with drivers during a race weekend
  • On-track commentary
  • Updating the FFA website

This position reports to both the Category Manager and the FFA’s Media Advisor.

The successful applicant will attend all six rounds of the 2017 Australian Formula Ford Series.
